Very nice izakaya with good variety of Japanese small bites and main courses. We had the delicious sashimi and fried shrimps.
A great cozy place that can get lively with very friendly helpful staff. A good selection of fantastic authentic Japanese food and some great value set meal deals.Nice open layout with open kitchen too.
Very cool place, but waited 1h for the food. The food was ok. Kitchen not too sanitary. Bill was higher than expected.
Great seafood and amazing atmosphere. Don’t miss the tofu cheese, it’s unbelievable.
Delicious delicious delicious! Definitely a unique experience while you’re in Tokyo
Very talented, lively, passionate staff. Amazing food with seasonal variations. Hikaru Harada prepared sashimi all night, every serving customised to the patron’s tastes. The seafood was fresh and high quality - the fish buyer and suppliers are to be commended. The rest of the fare is classic Izakaya, served with a smile and a joke.Pro tip: buying the staff drinks will get you friends for life.
This place is excellent. It really checks all the boxes.Atmosphere: very Tokyo. Concrete interior meets traditional in-floor seating. Take off shoes at the door. Staff: friendlyClientele: mostly younger Japanese and ex-pats in their 20s. Drinks: interesting and tastyFood: AMAZING. Exceeded expectationsHad the sashimi from tsukiji, nikujaga, mackerel broiled at the table and some incredible chicken. This place is VIBES. This place is TOPS.
Great atmosphere and food. Wouldve been 5 stars if they spoke English. Good thing we had a Japanese native in our group who ordered all the food and drinks. We came here on a Sunday night without a reservation, but definitely recommend getting a reservation because it got packed quick. We got in line shortly before they opened, and only waited 5 minutes max.
Highy recommend: cheese tofu, oden, cured chicken, braised beef
Great hidden gemPolite staff, great food, they even have a bamboo bottle for sake which is so cool, would definitely recommend to go there, just the name of this izakaya it’s not written in english, so might be a bit challenging to find it if you can’t read Japanese
Very nice and lively Izakaya, with lots of menu options, beer, and Sake. they also offer a 10-course menu with unlimited drinks for a very affordable price (4000 yen). Recently became quite popular with foreigners so they have English menu which includes most of their dishes.
Very trendy. You might encounter a smoker close to you. Good food. Limited English menu.
Good fun and a great atmosphere. Nobody really understands English here, we had to communicate with Google Translate. Food is good, and the place is definately trendy among young people. You will not find the name "Shirube" anywhere on the street. We navigated with Google Maps, and ended up confirming this is the place by comparing the phone number written here with the one written on the outside sign!
Awesome atmosphere, really good food and a really fun experience. Prices are incredibly low.
Loved everything with egg.
Get the mackerel! Such a fun experience. One of my favorite restaurants in Tokyo.
Great Izakaya, the food was tasty and the drinks were great. Perfect for a good dinner with friends.
Truly loved this place. Noisy, good food, good friendly staff, talkative locals.
Great food in a very nice Japanese ambience
Amazing Izakaya. Has English menu now. Definitely try the flaming mackerel.
The restaurant sets up the cooking area right in the meddle and seats around the cooking area. You can easier chat with cooks even we speak different languages. You can see they were enjoying in cooking and happy to service you. The way the make some dishes was amazing like a show.
They dont like tourists... therefore they make fun of you from time to time and heavily insist for your to buy more and more boose... other than that its a nice place, very lively and the food is good
Food was awesome and it was very nice inside the restaurant!
Great izakaya, good beer, awesome karaage!Had a very nice time
IThe first izakaya my husband and I tried in Tokyo. The name isn't on any of the signage outside, so we'd actually given up looking for it when we stumbled on it. Everyone was so welcoming. The bar itself is really cozy and inviting. We had a table in the back corner. The food was amazing. Really fresh exciting ingredients. The staff were so helpful and seemed to really enjoy their work.It isn't the cheapest of places, but for what you get, it's entirely worth it
Great food and atmosphere and low prices, they know enough English to get you through your order, just point at the menu with confidence and you'll be golden
This place had a fantastic buzz. It was loud & theatrical .... the food was good. The beer & sake were cold. The service was super friendly & the prices very reasonable. I would definitely recommend this bar if you are looking for an authentic Japanese experience
Super fun place to go for dinner with a larger group. The do a set menu with all you can drink for 4,000¥ which last for about 2 hours. Try using some basic Japanese to get the attention of the staff, otherwise they might easily ignore you. Food is good, with traditional Japanese mixed with some more Western-style dishes
Food and concept are great. Service not so much. A bit surprising for Japan which seem to be consistent on great service.
Intense Izakaya experience! Loud and disorienting and not English friendly but the food... Out of this world amazingly good.
Oden was tasty and we'll presented. Nice atmosphere
Great service, food and atmosphere. What more can you want?
If you're looking for great foods and a nice Japanese 'pub' atmosphere, look no more than this place. The daily sashimi is fresh and changing, but other menu's dishes are joyful to your mouth. You can try the flaming mackerel, which is fun to watch and delicious too. Its also close to the station.
Very good food, great staff very energetic who cook in the middle of the restaurant, they have English menus. You have to try the Nikujaga!
A bit hard to find, but super worth it. Can be slightly intimidating for foreigners, but fun and delicious. They blowtorch a mackerel table side and have you squeeze a lemon on it, and after I squeezed that lemon the waiter shouted "NICE-U LEMON!!!" 10/10 experience. The noodles with kimchi were also basically Japanese cacio y pepe. Ridiculous.
Awesome place. They didn't have the menu in English so we let a person in a table nearby decide for us. Wonderful experience although there were a lot of people smoking. Very crowded, it's better to book in advance.
Time out says 99 out of 100 can't find this place, and in most cases I see why. It's hidden in the back of a building where you need to go through a divey back door next to the tracks to get to this place. That said, the food is delicious! Four courses plus a sashimi plate and two beers for $60! Service was great! English menus available, but doesn't translate specials.
If you don't speak Japanese, just ask for the recommended 12 course dinner that comes with salad, multiple delicious courses and dessert. This also includes all you can drink beer and sake. A great deal!
Amazing amazing!!! Nothin but all positive reviews. I would definitely recommend without hesitation to all those who are looking for great food, drinks, service, and overall experience
This place has all the atmosphere, and the food is fantastic. So good that we had to come back the following night!
Nice food and a great atmosphere.
What an amazing all around experience. Highly recommended.
Excellent izakaya! The best we tried in Japan so far. The food is beyond delicious and the staff is extremely nice
This place was fantastic. This was one of the best meals we had on our trip. The staff are friendly and are very receptive to people using small amounts of Japanese to be polite (side note: please learn “sumimasen” rather than yelling “excuse me” across a dining room). English menu is pretty good and the atmosphere is comfortable and fun. Drinks run for around the ¥500 mark and dishes around ¥800, including the sashimi which is ¥780/pp and really great.
Nice atmosphere, friendly staff and good food.
It's Japanese culture at it's best. Come here the buzz and food. Great with friends, dinner for two, try and make a reservation before you come here. The cheese Tofu and bread is knee buckling
Very bad food and service, overpriced1000 yen cover charge! Don't go there it's a proper tourist rip off!
Get the shumai pork dumplings - so good!
Great food, great all-around experience. I've become a big izakaya fan after eating here.
nice izakaya. very friendly staff. tasty food. gr8 evening
